How did Rentu begin?

It all started with one simple thought: “Why buy a drill just to hang one picture?”

Our founder, Sean, looked around and realised most of us have things collecting dust that someone else could be using. So he built Rentu - a community-powered rental marketplace to help people save money, cut waste, and finally clear out that cupboard of forgotten gadgets.

What’s our mission?

To make borrowing better. We want people to rent what they need, when they need it - without the guilt of buying things they’ll use once and shove in the loft. It’s better for your wallet, better for the planet, and way more fun than owning a pressure washer you only use twice a year.

Who’s it for?

DIY dabblers, party planners, hobbyists, hoarders, and anyone with too much gear in the garage. If you’ve got stuff lying around - or don’t want to buy something you’ll barely use - Rentu’s for you. Smart, sustainable, community-first. That’s the idea.
